Ian Daffern is a writer, director and producer based in Toronto Canada.  He has a proven ability to craft character-driven scenarios at the highest level, along with research talents, and experience in collaborative environments. He's written for video games for Bloom Digital Media, Xenophile Media's Time Tremors, Huge Monster's Code of War, and Trunked an indie-noir adventure set in the trunk of a car.

When left to his own devices, he’s happy writing supernatural, horror and thrilling tales for comic anthologies by publishers such as 215 Ink, DC Comics, and Alterna Comics. These include Charcoal a high-school horror drawn by award-winning illustrator Ho Che Anderson (King, Sand & Fury) published by Tor Press. As a writer and story editor for television he has made episodes that have aired on Hulu, Smithsonian Channel, CBC, Discovery Velocity, History Channel and more.

Born in Dartford, England, a place he has only returned to once by accident, he now makes his home in Toronto with his family.
